Velvet embossing

Hi........thought of sharing with you  one of my velvet embossings....

M-Seal work on pot-procedure

Things needed:
  1. Pot
  2. Sand paper-you can get in hardware shops.
  3. Enamel paint-colour of your choice to paint the pot(here I've used black colour.)
  4. M-seal or shilpakar clay-avilable in hardware shops.
  5. Acrylic colours of your choice.
  6. Transparent varnish.
  7. Knife.
  8. Talcum powder.
Procedure:
  1. First prepare the pot by rubbing it with the sand paper so that you get the surface of  the pot in an even manner.
  2. Dust it with a cloth.
  3. Apply black enamel paint over the pot evenly using a flat brush.
  4. Let it dry for an hour.Apply second coat if necessary.
  5. Now mix the two portions of m-seal in equal proportions so that it is formed into a dough.Apply talcum powder to your hands whenever you feel it sticky.
  6. Make small balls for the grapes.
  7. Make thin strings out of mseal and twine around a pencil or a brush so that you can get the twigs.
  8. Make thilagam shape out of mseal and cut it at the edges using a sharp knife to make the leaves.Give impressions of veins using the knife.
  9. Make strawberry shapes and prick it with a toothpick so that you get strawberries.Make leaves for them.
  10. Make shapes as soon as possible b'cos mseal dries within 20 min.You need not adhesive to stick it as it sticks by itself.Apply adhesive if needed.
  11. Colour them as you wish and apply transparent varnish after the complete pot gets dried.
  12. Thats it !You got beautiful grapes and stawberries over your pot.
Though it appears tedious it is very easy to make  and you can finish a pot in 2or 3 hours time.Make fun with mseal and colours..........
